Wings that open and close
During the last decade, Argentinean illustrators have been
gaining ground not only in Latin America but also in Europe,
North America and Asia, getting their work published and receiving
multiple international awards.
Being the Country Guest of Honor in Bologna will end a period
of seeking recognition and begin another one which we hope
will introduce Argentinean children's books intellectual
and artistic productions in the international market once
and for all…
… fly away!
Buenos Aires, 25 of July, 2007, 5:00PM

"During the selection, we considered the following
criteria: first, the professional quality of the proposal,
which is defined by technical excellence and the search
for a personal and innovative language; secondly, the
presence of a wide variety of aesthetics as a sample of
what can be seen in Argentina today, and lastly, the inclusion
of names with a brilliant career along with new
and original ideas”.
